The Kogi State Hajj Commission has directed all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to report at its headquarters in Lokoja for inoculation and collection of travel materials.

In a statement issued by the commission, the exercise will also include the distribution of bags and uniforms as part of final preparations for the pilgrimage.

The commission disclosed that COVID-19 vaccination has been made compulsory by Saudi authorities for all Nigerian pilgrims.

“Pilgrims who have already received the COVID-19 vaccine are advised to come along with their certificates for exemption from the current exercise,” the statement said.

According to the schedule released, pilgrims from Kogi Central will be attended to on April 15, followed by Kogi East on April 16, and Kogi West on April 17, while a mop-up exercise is fixed for April 18.

“The commission solicits the cooperation of all pilgrims to ensure a smooth and successful exercise,” it added.

The statement was signed by the Director of Administration, Mansur Muhammad, on behalf of the Executive Chairman.
