Jamauddeen Inuwa Babugirma Bauchi
The Executive Secretary of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, Dujuman Bauchi, says all 2,090 pilgrims from the state have completed this year’s Hajj rites successfully without any hindrance or restriction.
Briefing journalists in Makkah, Dr. Abdurrahman said the exercise was conducted smoothly without rancour, and no pilgrim was stopped from participating in any Hajj activity.
He disclosed that 95% of Bauchi’s pilgrims have concluded the stoning of the Jamarat and completed the two-day stay in Mina.
Only a few remain for the third day before moving to Makkah.
According to him, there were no issues with Nusuk cards, health emergencies, or other disruptions that affected the pilgrims’ performance of Hajj rites.
He, however, noted that the board lost one of its most experienced guides, Alh. Shehu Yahaya Jalam, shortly after arrival in Makkah. Dr. Abdurrahman extended his condolences to the family of the late guide.
The Executive Secretary commended all relevant authorities for working tirelessly to ensure the success of the exercise.
He thanked the Amirul Hajj team, board members, ulamas, preachers, media team, drivers, and other support staff.
Dr. Abdurrahman also expressed gratitude to Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Kauran Daular Usmaniya, for providing all necessary support for the smooth conduct of the Hajj. He further acknowledged the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, Saudi authorities, and Muassasa SANA Company for their cooperation and services.
He added that the board will begin the distribution of two big bags to each Bauchi pilgrim on Saturday. The First Lady of Bauchi State, Dr. Aisha Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, Sarauniyan Bauchi, is also expected to visit all Bauchi pilgrims in their hotels.
Dr. Abdurrahman urged the pilgrims to continue moving around Makkah and other areas with their Nusuk cards and to strictly abide by Saudi Arabia’s laws and regulations.
