The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has continued the processing of yellow cards for intending pilgrims, as part of efforts to ensure a smooth Hajj exercise.
This is according to a statement signed and made available to the press by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Sulaiman Dederi.
The Director-General of the Board, Abubakar Matawalle, disclosed this after a courtesy visit to the Port Health Services Office in Kano, where he met with officials on arrangements for the exercise.
Matawalle said the board, in collaboration with Port Health Services, had put measures in place to ensure a more organised and seamless issuance of yellow cards, unlike in previous years.
He noted that the arrangements would guarantee that all intending pilgrims are properly processed without difficulty, assuring that the board remains committed to efficient service delivery.
In his remarks, the Kano State Coordinator of Port Health Services, Patrick Achenneje, described the visit as timely and commended the board for its proactive approach.
Achenneje pledged full cooperation of his office to ensure that the processing of yellow cards is completed without delay.
The board, however, urged intending pilgrims to cooperate with officials and comply with all requirements to facilitate a hitch-free process.
